“France and Azerbaijan enjoy excellent bilateral relations,” said French Minister of State attached to Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne in his interview with AZERTAC.
Recalling his recent visit to Azerbaijan, Lemoyne described the meetings held with President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva as quite fruitful.
He described his meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Paris today as a continuation of the existing high-level cooperation between France and Azerbaijan. The French minister of state noted that they discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, in particular economic one.
Lemoyne said the year 2018 is of great importance to Azerbaijan as the country will mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. He also added that the French FM Jean-Yves Le Drian is expected to pay a visit to Azerbaijan to take part in the jubilee events marking the 100th anniversary of ADR on May 27, 2018.
