“We assess the electoral environment positively in the pre-election period in Azerbaijan. The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan has done great job within the constitutional framework and in line with international standards, which allows on the one hand each of the presidential candidates to freely submit their program. On the other hand, all conditions have been created for each voter to freely express his or her will in the elections,” Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Teymuraz Sharashenidze has told Sechki-2018.az.
“The next presidential elections will strengthen the state’s resistance to internal and external challenges, as well as create new conditions for strengthening political activity and ensuring rapid and sustainable economic development by harmonizing the oil and non-oil component, which will have a positive impact on the social status of the Azerbaijani citizens. I hope that the upcoming election would give a new impetus to the stability and development of the region. Relations between the states in the region will reach a new level and conditions for peaceful coexistence would be created,” Ambassador Sharashenidze said.
