ANAS Central Scientific Library has received a catalog “Shusha Branch of the State Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet and Applied Arts”.
The edition was prepared by the Carpet Museum of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.
The catalog gives information about the Karabakh khanate and its history, the construction of the Shusha fortress by Panahali Khan’s orders, as well as the state of the Khanate and the events that took place there. In addition, detailed information about the rescued exhibits of the Shusha branch of the State Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet and Folk Applied Arts is brought to attention.
Note that, during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, 183 exhibits (80 pile carpets, 35 lint-free carpets and carpets, 29 art embroideries and national clothes, 39 jewelry items) were taken from 246 exhibits of the Shusha branch to the main fund of the museum.
