Armenia’s capital city Yerevan is Azerbaijan’s historical land and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reiterated the fact several times in his speech, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Ukraine Azer Khudiyev told to Ukraine’s “Fornt News International” agency while commenting on the president’s speech at the 6th congress of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.
The ambassador noted: “Yerevan is a western part of Azerbaijan.After Bolsheviks came to power in 1920, Azerbaijan’s western lands were lost. Although it has been a long time, Armenia continues its aggressive policy against Azerbaijan. We have been subjected the military aggression of neighbouring Armenia. Azerbaijan has been fighting for separatism for more than 25 years”.
