International junior science Olympiad (ijso) 2018 in Botswana

The IJSO-2018 will be held at Gaborone, Botswana from December 2-11, 2018.

Azerbaijan will be represented by Murad Bashirov, Siraj Yahyazadeh (Sumgayit Natural Sciences Gymnasium), Hanim Yagublu, Ajdar Farzullazadeh (Baku Turkish Lyceum of Turkiye Diyanet Foundation), Sadiyar Gafarov (chemistry and biology oriented lyceum) and Mahammad Yusifov (Physics, Mathematics and Informatics high school).

It should be noted that, for the 35 students who successfully completed the primary selection exams held on 29 September of this year, were held lessons in October.

The second selection exams were held on October 28. The exam was held in two stages, consisting of internationally-tested and open-type exercises. The final results of the selection exams were announced at olimpiada.edu.az.

The International junior science Olympiad is a science competition in natural and team formats among physics, chemistry, and biology students who are no older than 16 years old. Azerbaijani students took part in this competition since 2004 and won 37 medals with 4 silver and 33 bronze medals.
